HELP! Change the World
Your help is needed as Calvary takes 2 small steps, with other UMC churches, to Change the World Saturday, May 19!All are invited to gather together at Calvary UMC (2315 S. Grant Street, Arlington) at 9:00am ready to help others to make a change. Groups will head out to clean up parts of our neighborhood that need tending, collect donations for the Arlington Food Assistance Center and make bagged meals for local shelters. If you want to join us at the cleanup sites, meet at 9:15am at 10th St. to 12th St. on Old Jefferson Davis Highway or the edge of the field at 12th St. & Eads St. We will gather back together at noon for lunch and celebration together. ALL are invited to participate in a variety of ways - provide supplies for the projects, advertise around our neighborhood, create a banner to hang outside (banner provided), meal preparation for the workers, invite friends, and pray for those planning and helping with the event.
